Photo Blogging - One-a-Day! Day 2

Growing up is inevitable... right? But what if you’re not ready to be a fully fledged adult?

Being that I am now the ripe age of 27, I probably have assumed this role without realisation but in some ways, my living ways are still far behind my years.

For example as a 27 year old woman, I should know how to sew, surely!?! Or not in my case. I did when I was younger (when I was a brownie with another badge to obtain) but I cannot honestly remember the last time I picked up a needle and thread. I do not even own a sewing kit!

Cooking is another thing. I’m learning and succeeding! Well evidence would suggest I have as I haven’t poisoned myself or killed the boyfriend. A year ago, I had no idea how to cook the basics like mash! I had never needed to or been taught to. Again something so basic that you the reader are probably screaming at the screen “How do you not know you dunce!”

The answer, I guess you learn by being thrown into things and in my case taking the very late plunge of moving out has fabricated that.

The next big plunge for me, a house of my own? Marriage? A family?
That stage of grown-up-hood,
I don’t know if I am ready just yet.

I need to learn to sew first.
