It's nice isn't it when someone recognises what you have done. A pat on the back is great and appreciated but when you received further recognition it gives you a sense of pride and those around you are proud of you and your achievements.
Today, I am proud of my boyfriend. Soppy, yes but he has worked his socks of over the last 12 months and tonight he is being awarded at this companies annual banquet for his achievements.
He's been through some ups and downs in his department but his passion for his job and his great rapport with his client has got him through it.
To be recognised for his huge achievement which other members of his team have not been unable to come close to, highlights how much of an asset he is and how much he is appreciated.
I can't be there tonight (well guests are not allowed), so this is my way of saying to him how proud I am
